Murphy kept 24 clean sheets as the club won League One in 2007

Scunthorpe could be without goalkeeper Joe Murphy for the first month of the League One season after he was sidelined by a groin injury.

The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international suffered the injury during training and is expected to be out for six weeks.

Murphy announced his desire to leave the club to boost his international aspirations earlier this summer.

He only missed one Championship game last season as the Iron were relegated.
