Rushden boss Justin Edinburgh wise to pressure on team
Edinburgh played for Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth
Rushden and Diamonds manager Justin Edinburgh says he knows from experience how much pressure his team are under.
The Diamonds lie third in the Blue Square Premier with 11 matches to play.
Edinburgh told BBC Radio Northampton: "It's a tense situation and sometimes [in games] you've got to remain calm and composed.
"But I played myself and I understand it's easy to say that. We've shown in the last two games we can mix up our game and we've got to continue that."
Diamonds have beaten both Histon and Tamworth 1-0 in their last two matches, despite being without captain Jamie Stuart and midfielder Paul Terry because of suspension.
Top scorer Lee Tomlin has also been struggling with injury, but Edinburgh said he had been anxious to help the team.
"He's had some bone bruising on his foot, but he wants to play football," said Edinburgh.
"He'll be the first to admit that he hasn't been at his best, but that's down to his injury."
