Roberts was the Diamonds Player of the Season last year
Rushden & Diamonds goalkeeper Dale Roberts has been called up to the England C squad to face Hungary.
The friendly match takes place on Tuesday, 15 September in Budapest.
Roberts, who won his first cap against Malta last season, told the club's website: "It's a bit of a surprise but to get a call-up is fantastic.
"Obviously I must be doing the right things for people to come and watch and must have made an impression, so I'm very pleased."
The 22-year-old added: "Pulling on that England shirt was really emotional. A really fantastic experience and hopefully I'll get more of the same when I go away again."
