Rushden & Diamonds have signed midfielder Jamie McGuinness from Luton Town on a free transfer.

The 18-year-old right-sided player, who had a loan spell at Aldershot last season, has signed a one-year contract.

But Rushden have cancelled the contract of midfielder Tom Shaw by mutual consent after club and player felt he may not be a regular next season.

The 21-year-old played in more than 50 games for the Diamonds having joined the youth set up in 2002.
