Mark McGregor's late header gave Altrincham a share of the points against Kettering at Moss Lane.
Gareth Seddon fired the visitors ahead from the penalty spot after five minutes when Alfie Potter was fouled in the box by Robbie Lawton.
Seddon could have grabbed his second just 11 minutes later when he had a fine 30-yard effort saved.
But McGregor secured a point for Graham Heathcote's men when he headed in Warren Peyton 82nd-minute corner.
