McDonald failed to score a single goal at Inverness

Inverness Caledonian Thistle striker Dean McDonald has left the club by mutual consent and agreed a one-year deal with Rushden & Diamonds.

The 22-year-old joined the Caley Jags last summer from Gillingham but has made only seven substitute appearances.

McDonald began his career with Arsenal and has also had spells with Ipswich and Hartlepool.

"Everyone at ICT wishes Dean well for the future," read a statement on the Inverness website.
