Ronnie Moore has been appointed the new manager of Rotherham United, the club have confirmed.
Moore, who was sacked as Tranmere boss in June, previously managed the Millers between 1997 and 2005, leading them to Division One in 2001.
The 56-year-old replaces Mark Robins, who left the Don Valley Stadium to take charge of Barnsley.
Moore is not expected to take control of the club until after Saturday's League Two game against Barnet.
Ex-Burnley and Walsall boss Jimmy Mullen is set to be named as Moore's assistant.
