Moore led the Millers to successive promotions during his spell at the club
Former Rotherham United boss Ronnie Moore has declared his interest in replacing Barnsley-bound Mark Robins.
Moore managed the Millers from 1997 to 2005 and is available after leaving Tranmere this summer.
He told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I've already dropped in my CV. I'm up for the job if they want to give it me.
"I took them to the Championship the last time I was there and, who knows, maybe we can do it all again. I absolutely love the club."
The 56-year-old led Rotherham to successive promotions in 2000 and 2001, from what is now League Two to the Championship.
He left them in January 2005 by mutual consent, with the Millers 12 points adrift of safety in the Championship. They finished the season bottom, 21 points from safety.
Robins, 39, took over at Rotherham in March 2007, initially as caretaker manager, and last season led them to a mid-table finish despite starting on minus-17 points.
He is on gardening leave while he discusses terms with Championship neighbours Barnsley.
