Rochdale sign WBA goalkeeper Luke Daniels on loan

Luke Daniels
Daniels is yet to make a first team appearance for West Brom

Rochdale have signed West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Luke Daniels on a seven-day emergency loan.

The 22-year-old joined West Brom after being released by Manchester United in 2004 and has had loan spells at Motherwell, Shrewsbury and Tranmere.

A hamstring injury to Josh Lillis and a finger strain suffered by Matt Edwards has left Dale without a goalkeeper.

Daniels will go straight into the Dale match day squad to play Charlton Athletic at the weekend.

The deal requires independent medical certification about all the current goalkeeper's injuries and can be renewed every seven days.
