Charlton sign West Bromwich Albion keeper Luke Daniels

Charlton have signed West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Luke Daniels on a month's loan deal as cover for the injured Rob Elliot.

First-choice Elliot faces a month out after chipping a bone in his elbow, leaving 20-year-old Ross Worner as the side's only senior keeper.

Daniels, 22, goes straight into the side to face Tranmere on Saturday.

"He's played regular first-team football, which was important," boss Phil Parkinson told the club website.

"He's got quite a lot of league experience already, having spent a season at Shrewsbury Town and Tranmere.

"He's joined us for a month and we look forward to working with him."

Daniels spent seven years on the books at Manchester United before joining West Brom in 2004.
