Armitage has been with the Exiles since 2006

London Irish flanker Steffon Armitage has fractured his right shin and will be out for a number of weeks.

It was initially thought that Armitage had suffered a torn calf muscle when he limped out of Saturday's 20-13 defeat at Bath.

However, scans revealed the England international had a small fracture to the smaller of the two shin bones.

Armitage joins Richard Thorpe (elbow), Jamie Gibson (broken leg) and Chris Hala'Ufia (calf) on the injured list.
