Reading have signed experienced Queens Park Rangers midfielder Mikele Leigertwood on a two-month loan.

Leigertwood, 28, who has made just one start for table-topping Rangers this season, was on the bench when QPR beat Reading 3-1 earlier this month.

But he could now be in line to make his Royals debut against Leeds on Saturday.

"I thought it was a good move for both parties. Mikele wants to play football and I can't guarantee him that at the moment," said QPR boss Neil Warnock.

"Reading were one of a number of clubs interested in taking him on loan and he was quite happy to make the move there."
