Reading have belief to beat anyone - Ivar Ingimarsson
Ingimarsson was sent off in Reading's 4-1 defeat at Loftus Road in October
Reading captain Ivar Ingimarsson says that, on their current run of form, the Royals believe they can beat anyone.
Ahead of Tuesday night's home date with QPR, Brian McDermott's side have won seven out of eight in the Championship.
And Ingimarsson insists that they are a different team now to the one which lost 4-1 at Loftus Road in October.
"We go into games knowing we can score and we're keeping it tight at the back. When you have that, it doesn't matter who you play," he told BBC Berkshire.
"Since the start of the new year we changed the way we played a little bit.
"That took us a little while to get used to, while the new manager got us to play the way he wants the team to play.
"When we got comfortable with that, the results came with it.
"It's more or less the way we've played for most of the time I've been here, for five or six years, and it seems to be working for us."
After taking over in charge, initially as caretaker boss, following the sacking of Brendan Rodgers on 16 December, McDermott's men went five league matches without a win.
But, since the massive confidence boost gained from knocking out two Premiership sides, Liverpool and Burnley, in the FA Cup, Reading have won all their home Championship matches in 2010 to climb to 16th in the table.
And, going into the QPR game just eight points off the play-offs, the focus is now on climbing as high up the Championship as possible.
"If we maintain the run we're on, you never know where we might end," added Ingimarsson.
"It may look easy, but it's very hard to maintain a run like this. We know we can do it but it's not something that comes by itself.
"We have to work very hard but who knows, come the last few rounds of the season, perhaps we can sneak into the top six.
"We're aware of that but, at the moment, we're still a bit away from it."
