The veteran former Argentine international forward is out of contract at the end of the season. But the 36-year-old is keen to decide his future before then and could instead accept a move to the United States. Manager Alex McLeish has told Caniggia that cash-strapped Rangers cannot decide on a new contract until the summer.
"I think I will decide next month, because I don't want to wait until the summer. "I might choose America. I have offers to go over there, so I will think about that. "However, I have a better offer in terms of the standard of football, so I may take that option. "Of course, the ideal thing would be to stay with Rangers for another year, but I don't know if that will happen." Meanwhile, defender Craig Moore wants to finish his career at Ibrox. The Australian is already the club's longest-serving player, having arrived in Glasgow 10 years ago as a 17-year-old youth player, and he insists he has no intention of leaving.
"So I do feel that I'll end up finishing my career at Rangers. "I love playing football here and I never take anything for granted because you never know what's around the corner. "I know things have not always gone smoothly for me in Glasgow, particularly early in my career, and I've had to come through a lot of tough times, but that's made me a stronger person in the end. "It's always been my aim to play at the highest level and I just want to keep being successful at Rangers." | Top Rangers stories now: Links to more Rangers stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
