Preston North End sew up Danny Mayor and Adam Barton
Mayor made three starts for Tranmere while on loan at the club last term
Preston youngsters Danny Mayor and Adam Barton have signed new three-year deals to keep them at Deepdale until 2013.
Mayor, a 19-year-old midfielder who rose through Preston's youth ranks, has made seven league appearances for the side since making his debut in January.
Midfielder Barton, also 19, began his career at Blackburn and made his league debut for Preston in April.
Preston boss Darren Ferguson told the club website: "They are going to be valuable members of the squad."
Ferguson continued: "They are the future of the football club and I am delighted get them new contracts.
"They have earned them by the form that they have showed towards the end of last season and pre-season.
"I am sure the fans will be delighted and it shows our commitment and our consistency with what we have been saying in terms of how we want to structure the football club."
