Tranmere Rovers have signed Preston North End winger Danny Mayor on a one-month loan deal.

Mayor, 18, signed professional terms at Deepdale in December but has yet to appear in the Preston first team.

Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore told the club's website: "I watched Danny in our reserve match against Preston last week when he was outstanding.

"He is a hard working winger with the ability go past people and has a trick up his sleeve."
