Moore hopes away points will come

Ronnie Moore
Moore has targeted four away wins by the end of the season

Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore believes his side need to turn good away displays into results as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Hartlepool on Tuesday.

Rovers have only one away win in the league since October and the manager believes a victory has to come soon.

"I thought there was only one side going to win it," Moore told BBC Radio Merseyside after the latest away loss.

"One day, hopefully soon, I'm going to come away and say how badly we were and we've won the game 2-0."

Moore added: "We've had all the procession, we've got it down and passed it in the second half in horrible conditions."

Rovers sit just three points outside the play-off places and Moore has told the squad what is required if they are to achieve their objectives at the end of the season.

"I've just said in there we need to win four away games," continued Moore.

"We've got to do it if we want to stay in tough with that top six. It's frustrating, disappointing but I'm fed up of saying that when we play away.

"We've got to be ruthless now."
