Portsmouth boss Steve Cotterill to meet Balram Chainrai
Cotterill was appointed as Avram Grant's successor in June 2010
Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill will tell chairman Balram Chainrai he needs new players when they meet after Tuesday's game with QPR.
Cotterill, who only has 19 first team players and is missing striker David Nugent through injury, wants Chainrai's help in strengthening the team.
He told BBC Radio Solent: "We want to add to the squad and sign more players.
"It depends on what the owner wants to do. It should be made clearer in the next few days."
Chainrai was appointed as Portsmouth chairman last month.
The Hong Kong businessman became the club's fourth owner in a year when he took over at Fratton Park in February before putting them into administration with debts of around £120m.
