Defender Aaron Mokoena unsure of future at Portsmouth
Mokoena made 101 league appearances for Blackburn
Portsmouth defender Aaron Mokoena claims he is a target for three different Premier League clubs, putting his Fratton Park future in doubt.
The 29-year-old South Africa captain has two years left on his contract at the south coast club.
"There are a number of offers from several big clubs - three in the English Premier League, two in Qatar and one in Turkey," he told Sowetan.
"There are things I am still assessing, though, and I will decide next week."
Reports in recent weeks have linked the former Blackburn man to West Ham and Bolton, but Mokoena says he has had initial talks with Portsmouth about a possible new deal.
"I had a meeting with the technical staff members of Portsmouth a few days ago to discuss my future with the club in the new season," he said.
"Portsmouth have made it clear they want to rebuild the club around me. They are confident the club will bounce back to the English Premier League and wanted me to be there to guide the new team they are building for the future.
"I have to confess my heart is still there at Portsmouth and they are offering me a new contract if I remain with the club."
The former Ajax defender, who won his 100th international cap during the World Cup, made 23 appearances in the Premier League last season.
