Papa Bouba Diop signs two-year deal with AEK Athens
Diop played in two FA Cup finals for Portsmouth
Senegal international Papa Bouba Diop has joined AEK Athens on a two-year deal.
The Greek club said Diop completed his move from relegated English club Portsmouth on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old is set to join his new team-mates on a training tour of Austria on Wednesday.
The club's website said the contract includes an option to extend the deal for another season after the initial two years.
No other financial details were revealed.
Diop speaking on the club's website also revealed that after six years in the English Premier League with Portsmouth and Fulham, he was looking for new challenges.
AEK finished fourth in the Greek league last season, 17 points behind champion Panathinaikos, and qualified for the Europa League in the upcoming season.
Pompey, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, were put into administration in February and in April the administrator estimated their debts were £120m.
Diop has made 63 appearances for the Senegalese national team, scoring 11 goals.
