Portsmouth and England goalkeeper David James has given a strong indication that his future lies at Fratton Park.

A number of Pompey players have been linked with a move to Tottenham to re-unite with former boss Harry Redknapp.

James, under contract until 2010, told BBC Radio Solent: "My issues as always, are about performances at Portsmouth."

"As long as Portsmouth are doing what we could or should do then I'm happy, and I think that's the same for most players," the 38-year-old added.

He continued: "As long as they're getting what they need out of the club there's no need to move on."

James has established himself as England manager Fabio Capello's first choice.

Last season he set a new record for the number of clean sheets kept in the Premier League since its inauguration in 1992.
