Port Vale winger Rob Taylor believes he is finally rediscovering his best form after forcing his way back into the first team.
Taylor was a regular in Micky Adams' side last term but has been disrupted by injury this season.
The 25-year-old has started the last four games having only begun three of the previous 21.
"I think I've played four games on the bounce now so I'm just getting back to my old self," he told BBC Radio Stoke.
"It's difficult when you're a bit-part player and you're only getting 20 minutes to come on.
"Any player will tell you that you need five or six games to really hit your top form."
Taylor was signed from Nuneaton in 2008 and impressed last season, scoring 10 goals in all competitions.
He is yet to find the net this term but remains determined to break his duck as soon as possible.
"I've set up quite a few goals, I just need to get back to getting a few goals myself," he said.
"I'm looking to get forward a bit more and get some shots off which over the last four games I haven't really been doing.
"But I'm pretty happy with my contribution."
