Port Vale central defender John McCombe has expressed his delight with the double strike that gave the Valiants a 2-1 win over Wycombe.
As well as securing all three points, the big Yorkshireman's second goal, a fine volley, took his personal tally to three goals in four games.
That equals his best total for a season in seven years as a professional.
"I'm obviously pleased to get two goals but I do that every day on the training ground," he told BBC Radio Stoke.
After a run of four 0-0 draws in five league games, Vale manager Micky Adams admitted he was simply pleased to see his side score.
"We've been saying all along that it's about time people took responsibility for scoring goals, it's not always about the front two, so to see a centre half get two goals is very pleasing," he said.
