Jorgensen was released by Championship side Blackpool in June
Port Vale midfielder Claus Jorgensen is hoping to impress manager Micky Adams after signing a short-term contract with the League Two club.
Jorgensen, 33, made his debut as a substitute in the 0-0 draw against Bradford at Valley Parade on Saturday.
"I wouldn't rule out staying longer," Jorgensen told BBC Radio Stoke.
"There's got to be an offer on the table first, but I've been very impressed with the facilities here and they seem a good bunch of players."
The Faroe Islands international played with Adams at Coventry and was happy to be reunited with his former boss.
"I've kept in touch with Micky over the summer. He offered me the chance to come here, play a few games, improve my fitness and take it from there," added Jorgensen.
Jorgensen will be part of the Vale squad which takes on Macclesfield at the Moss Rose on Tuesday.
