Adams was taking charge of Port Vale for the first time at Biddulph
Micky Adams's first game in charge of Port Vale ended in a 1-0 defeat against non-league Biddulph Vics on Saturday.
Geoff McGaw scored the only goal of the game just before half time.
Peterborough United defender Danny Blanchett, who is on trial at Vale Park, played the full 90 minutes at Tunstall Road.
New signings Tommy Fraser and Doug Loft missed the match because of injury and illness respectively, and will miss Tuesday's friendly against AFC Telford.
