Perry has yet to score a goal since joining Vale in January 2008
Port Vale striker Kyle Perry has insisted he will come back a stronger person after being told he can leave the club at the end of his contract.
Perry, who signed from Chasetown in January 2008, will not be offered a new deal by Vale manager Dean Glover.
Perry told BBC Radio Stoke: "He had me in the office and told me he wouldn't be offering me anything in the future.
"It's part and parcel of football. It's one of those things where you come back stronger and get on with it."
The previous Port Vale manager Lee Sinnott signed Perry and his team-mate Chris Slater from Chasetown, following the non-league side's run to the third round of the FA Cup.
As long as I'm still at the club I'll give my all because the fans have shown me respect

Perry and Slater both agreed 18-month deals with the League Two club, but Slater was released soon after Glover had become the new Vale manager in October.
The 22-year-old added: "It just hasn't gone for me, down to one thing or another. I've never had a run of games and I've had more frustrating times than good times.
"As long as I'm still at the club I'll give my all because the fans have shown me respect, and I hope I've shown it them back.
"I was always going to jump at the chance to join Port Vale, even though I was going to be worse off financially and I was joining a team at the bottom of the league.
"But some of the places I've played at and the players I've played with, it's been fantastic. It's just unfortunate the way things have turned out."
Perry has yet to score a goal in the 31 appearances he has made for Vale, 13 of those coming as a substitute.
