Ahmed completes Vale loan switch

Port Vale

Pakistan international midfielder Adnan Ahmed has joined Port Vale on a one-month loan deal from Tranmere Rovers.

The 24-year-old former Huddersfield Town man joins the Valiants after a successful trial and will be available for Saturday's trip to Morecambe.

Manager Dean Glover told BBC Radio Stoke: "We're expecting Adnan to come here as good competition.

"We know he's a good passer and is capable of playing good football there's also room for improvement."

It is understood that Ahmed's wages are being paid by an external sponsor.

Meanwhile midfielder Dave Brammer will see a specialist on Friday in an attempt to cure a long-standing knee injury.
