Port Vale chairman Bill Bratt has ruled out the possibility of Robbie Williams putting any more money into his hometown club, reports BBC Radio Stoke.
The former Take That singer, who was born in Burslem, was among the crowd at Griffin Park to watch the Valiants lose 2-0 to Brentford on Saturday.
But Bratt dismissed rumours that he was there to discuss investment in Vale.
"It's encouraging to see him, but there was nothing in it other than he wanted to watch the game," said Bratt.
"He's got his life over in Los Angeles and I know he's got a house back in this country again, so I hope we see more of him," added the Vale chairman.
Williams, 35, bought a stake in the League Two club in February 2006 and became the majority shareholder.
Vale are hoping for investment to ease their financial worries, which have blighted the club since they came out of administration in 2003.
