Glover took over as Vale manager following the sacking of Lee Sinnott
Port Vale manager Dean Glover has said he is looking to strengthen his squad following Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Aldershot at the Recreation Ground.
The result handed Glover his first away defeat since being given the manager's job on a permanent basis.
Glover told BBC Radio Stoke: "There's obviously changes to be made because I want to build a side that can get us up the league.
"I'm not content with what we have, but we are going in the right direction."
Glover has recorded three victories and two defeats since taking over as Vale boss and said he was pleased with how his managerial career has begun.
"I've had a great start, not least because the boys are trying to the play the football I'm asking.
"I've got a young side that is willing to work hard and run all day, it's now a case of instilling belief in them and we can go to bigger and better things."
