Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock wants a clearer idea of next season's squad before they head for a pre-season tour of Scotland, reports BBC Radio Devon.
Carl Fletcher is currently the only confirmed signing for the new campaign.
Sturrock is keen to move a number of players out of Home Park as he wrestles with his budget.
He has confirmed he has received interest in several players but that no one has enquired about 2008 player of the season Krisztian Timar.
Argyle head for Scotland on 17 July and Sturrock has set that date as a loose target to complete his first raft of deals
