Sturrock hopes that Simon Walton can return to the side
Plymouth Argyle have set midfielder Simon Walton a regime to try and get him back into first team contention.
Walton, who came to Home Park in the summer in what could amount to a club record deal of 750,000, has fallen out of favour with boss Paul Sturrock.
The 21-year-old had fought his way back into first team contention before Christmas but was sent off at Barnsley for retaliating after a tackle.
Sturrock says the club has set him a regime to try and get back in the side.
"We've had him tested by specialists with regard to his body fat, diet, speed work and strength work and we've come up with a plan to put him down the road," Sturrock told BBC Radio Devon.
He has to have all that armoury ready and the only way we can do that is to fine tune him

"He's 21-years-old, he's got a lot to learn yet. People who saw him play against Birmingham know what he can achieve. But you can also see him play against Barnsley and that's also what we he can also achieve.
"At the end of the day we've got to make sure we get the right Walton, he has got attributes, that's why he was brought to the football club.
"He has to have all that armoury ready and the only way we can do that is to fine tune him," he added.
