Sturrock dismisses Noone reports

Craig Noone
Noone has come on as a substitute 11 times so far in his Argyle career

Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock has dismissed newspaper reports linking winger Craig Noone with a move to a Premier League club.

Sunderland and Wigan are believed to be interested in the 21-year-old.

"Noony's an exciting player, I'd hope to find that people are going to come to watch him," Sturrock told BBC Devon.

"When they do watch him they're going to give good reports back to their managers but I think that's as far as most of this stuff has gone."

Noone has made a big impression since joining Argyle at the start of the season from non-league Southport, for whom he played part-time while also working as a roofer.

He came on as a substitute against Arsenal in the FA Cup last Saturday and has scored once this season.
