Kienast ended his season on loan at Swedish side Helsingborgs
Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock is still weighing up whether to sign Austrian international striker Roman Kienast.
The 24-year-old played in a friendly for Argyle on Monday and trained on Wednesday but has since gone back to his Norwegian club Ham-Kam.
"We've got to find out his personal terms and what the other club are looking for," Sturrock told BBC Devon.
Kienast has not played competitively for two months since the end of the Norwegian season.
"He's played for his national team and he has a pedigree, but there's a lot of things to weight up before we make a decision.
"We are over budget at this minute in time and a football club is like any other business, books have got to be balanced and to bring people in, people have to go out as well," Sturrock said.
"I've got a couple of people coming in next week to have a look at. I'm looking at all departments, but mainly people who score goals," added Sturrock, whose Argyle side have scored just five goals in their last nine games.
