Marcus Williams joins Peterborough United from Reading
Williams has made three league starts for Reading
Peterborough United have moved to bring in Reading defender Marcus Williams on a one-month loan.
Williams, 25, has featured five times for the Royals since joining on a free transfer from Scunthorpe in the summer.
The left-back came through the youth ranks at the Iron and went on to make 166 league appearances in seven years.
He trained with the Posh squad on Friday and is line for a start in Saturday's League One clash with fifth-placed Charlton.
Boss Gary Johnson has found filling the left-back berth problematic, letting Scott Griffiths go out on loan to Chesterfield - although the 24-year-old has just returned to London Road - while Charlie Lee is currently with Gillingham.
Tommy Rowe is out with a groin injury leaving Seth Nana Ofori-Twumasi as the only other recognised left-back.
