Bennett is on loan at London Road with a view to a permanent move
On-loan Peterborough defender Ryan Bennett says he hopes to work with former manager Darren Ferguson again.
The 19-year-old, on loan from Grimsby, made his bow in Ferguson's final game.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "It [Ferguson's departure] was a worry, because Darren brought me here and I thought he would be here for a while.
"I was looking forward to working with Darren and so to lose him was a big thing. Hopefully we can work together again in the future."
Bennett joined Posh with a view to a permanent deal at the end of October.
He made his debut in a 3-1 defeat at Newcastle, but three days later Ferguson departed London Road.
Under Mark Cooper, Bennett has since played against Sheffield United and Middlesbrough.
"I've played three games and played with three different centre-halves alongside me," he said.
"It's a totally new back four so it will take, but I think we can adapt quickly."
Posh have kept just one clean sheet in the league so far this season.
Scott Griffiths and Exodus Geohaghon have also arrived on loan and both started alongside Bennett against Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Given our current situation it's not about performances; we need results

Some fans have been critical of the switch to a more direct style of play under Cooper, but Bennett says they must do whatever it takes to get results.
"Some people might not like it, but sometimes it's what you need to do to get results," he said.
