Ferguson will stay - Posh chief

Darren Ferguson
Ferguson had wanted to speak to Reading

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has told fans that Darren Ferguson is "100% focused" on his job.

Posh manager Ferguson had been linked with posts at both Reading and Wigan.

MacAnthony told the Posh website: "Darren would like me to make it clear on his behalf that he is perfectly happy at Peterborough United.

"He has no interest in any other club and is 100% focused on the coming season and the challenges of making us a Premiership club."

Earlier this week MacAnthony confirmed that Ferguson was denied the chance to talk to Championship side Reading.

The Royals had requested permission to interview Ferguson alongside a number of other candidates.
