Peterborough United director of football Barry Fry does not expect any new arrivals at London Road before the January transfer window opens.
The Posh hierarchy were in Spain on Tuesday to discuss transfers with chairman Darragh MacAnthony.
Fry told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "The manager's identified certain players in certain positions.
"But really unless unforeseen things happen I don't think we'll be fetching anyone in until January."
Peterborough currently sit sixth in League One and have not lost a league match since August.
Fry says only injuries to key players would see them use the loan market.

"The deadline for temporary loan transfers is the 25th November so what we don't want to do is go by that and be short of one or two back-up players.
"Darren [Ferguson] is very happy with the team, it's unbeaten in 11 and they're playing great, entertaining football."
Midfielder Chris Whelpdale sustained ankle ligament damage during Saturday's win at Hereford.
But the injury is not as bad as first feared so the former Billericay man is only likely to be sidelined for two-to- three weeks.
