Batt signed from non-league Fisher Athletic in July
Peterborough United striker Shaun Batt is hoping to see more first-team action this weekend as Posh take on local rivals MK Dons in League One.
Batt made his competitive debut for Posh as a 65th-minute substitute in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Tranmere.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "You always want to play in the big games.
"The Northampton derby was a good experience even though I didn't come on, so if I get to come on Saturday it will be a great experience."
The 21-year-old added: "I'm excited about every game and want to be on the bench, then come on.
"I'd love to be starting, but just to be involved is what I wanted all the time I was playing in non-league."
Batt recieved praise from Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson after making his first league appearance since his summer move from Blue Square South side Fisher Athletic.
"It's nice to hear the manager say you've done well," he said. "But that's only one substitute appearance and I have to keep working hard and playing well, and hopefully one day be a regular in the team."
