Davie Hay was last in management with Dunfermline |
Former Celtic and Dunfermline boss Davie Hay has been interviewed by Partick Thistle for the First Division club's managerial vacancy. Hay, who has been out of management since leaving the Pars in May 2005, is one of around 10 people hoping to succeed Dick Campbell.
A decision should be made by the cash-strapped Glasgow club within the next seven days.
Assistant Jimmy Bone has been caretaker since Campbell was sacked in March.
Queen's Park head coach Billy Stark, Terry Butcher, who had come in to assist Bone, and St Johnstone assistant Sandy Stewart had all been linked with the job.
But Stark has signed a new contract after winning promotion to Division Two, Butcher has taken over at Brentford and Stewart has decided to remain at McDiarmid Park.
Ian McCall, who left Queen of the South at the end of the season, is thought to be interested in taking over at Firhill.
Speculation has also linked former Rangers and Scotland defender Richard Gough, who had a spell as Livingston manager, with the vacancy.
Hay, another former Livi boss, has immense experience, having also managed St Mirren, Motherwell, Celtic and Dunfermline.
Thistle earlier this month said they were delaying their decision on a new manager until their financial future was more clear.
The Maryhill outfit have been talking to potential investors.
