Constable has scored 13 goals in 32 appearances for Oxford this season

Oxford striker James Constable says United can win promotion from League Two this season.

The U's, who were promoted to the Football League last season, currently lie eighth in the table, four points off the top three.

"We're in a great position so promotion is in our hands," the 26-year-old told BBC Oxford.

"It's been a tough season with the games we've had and it's up to us to keep up the good form we are in."

The former Shrewsbury man added: "If we focus and grind out results then we could go as far as we want to go.

"With the amount of games we still have left it feels like it's going to be a long couple of months so we're not getting carried away."
