Green has scored six goals in 17 league starts for Oxford this season
Oxford United striker Matt Green has been ruled out for up to a month with a knee injury.
The 22-year-old, who is on loan from Torquay, hobbled out of United's 3-1 defeat at Kidderminster last weekend.
"The medial ligament in the right knee is torn. It could be worse. I hope it's only a couple of weeks, but we will have to see," Green told BBC Oxford.
Boss Chris Wilder has confirmed he is planning to make at least one loan signing as cover for Green.
Better news for Oxford is that fellow forward Jamie Cook is back in full training after injury.
