Cook finding it 'easy' to settle

Oxford United forward Jamie Cook says he has found it easy to fit in with his new team-mates at the Kassam Stadium.

The 30-year-old started his career with the U's before joining Boston in 2001, and he has started three games since returning to the club from Crawley.

He told BBC Oxford: "They are a great set of lads.

"Obviously I knew Mickey Lewis [first-team coach] from my first time at Oxford and there is other backroom staff here. It's been really easy."

Oxford are top of the Blue Square Premier and have taken maximum points from the three games since Cook re-signed for the club.

"The spirit with the players is brilliant, around the squad everyone is buzzing," he said.

"Everything is looking good, we just need to keep it going."

Cook's move back to his home county was funded by the supporters' 12th man fund.
