Carruthers came on at half-time in Saturday's defeat in Kidderminster

Oxford United have transfer-listed defenders Chris Carruthers and Matt Day, BBC Oxford reports.

Carruthers, 25, only joined the U's in the summer after leaving Bristol Rovers and has played nine times this season.

Day, who is on England C duty, was listed last season before earning a new deal after improved performances.

The 21-year-old told BBC Oxford: "I want to play football and want to play it here. My aim is to get fit and back in the team. That's all I can do."

He added: "I want to help Oxford win games and get promoted."

The Blue Square Premier club, who are 19th the table after Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Kidderminster, have refused to comment on Day or Carruthers' status.
