Oxford United have signed trialists Michael Husbands and Levi Reid on short-term deals at the Kassam Stadium.
Forward Husbands, 24, and midfielder Reid, 25, have both featured in a number of friendlies for the club.
"They're desperate to get on board. They love it here," boss Darren Patterson told BBC Oxford.
"It gives us an extra chance, a month basically, to have a proper look at them. But they have started positively and are keen lads."
Husbands and Reid are both expected to go straight into the squad for United's season opener at Barrow.
The club have also confirmed striker Jamie Guy will be out for up to three weeks with his hamstring injury.
The 20-year-old will miss the trip to Cumbria on Friday, but the U's will include captain Adam Murray after he returned to training this week.
