Oxford boss Darren Patterson has backed Jamie Guy to score goals this campaign after his impressive pre-season form.

The hard-working 20-year-old forward is on a season-long loan from Colchester and has been prolific for Oxford in their friendlies.

"He's a bit of a bull at times I've got to say, only one thing in his mind," Patterson told BBC Oxford.

"He's a big strong kid who will get better and better. At this level I'm sure he will get goals."
