Portsmouth striker Defoe challenges with Oxford's Luke Foster

Oxford United went down 2-1 to FA Cup winners Portsmouth in their final pre-season friendly.

Pompey took the lead through Papa Bouba Diop and Jermain Defoe before young Oxford striker Alex Fisher pulled one back in the last minute.

The U's suffered an injury to Jamie Guy which overshadowed the game. The 20-year-old limped off in the first half.

Guy is now a major doubt for United's opening game of the season at Barrow on 8 August (1945 BST).
