Oldham have extended the month-long loan of Preston midfielder Jason Jarrett until the end of the season.

Manager John Sheridan admitted to being a long-time admirer of the 28-year-old who moved to Boundary Park on Tuesday.

"I can remember him from when I was playing, he was at Bury and did well at Wigan and had a good move to Norwich," he told BBC Radio Manchester.

"Hopefully he can get a few games under his belt and enjoy his football like he did against Carlisle," he added.

Jarrett made his debut in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Carlisle.
