Queens Park Rangers have signed Preston North End midfielder Jason Jarrett on loan until 1 January 2008. Jarrett, 28, goes straight into QPR's squad for Wednesday's game against Colchester at Layer Road.
QPR caretaker boss Mick Harford told the club's website: "Jason is an experienced midfielder who has played at the highest level in this country."
Jarrett helped Wigan gain promotion to the Premiership in 2005 and has also played for Norwich and Plymouth.
He started his career as a trainee and also had loan spells at Hull and Leicester during the 2006/07 season.
Jarrett was transfer listed by Preston at the end of the last campaign.
