Notts County have signed midfielder Johnnie Jackson from Colchester United for an undisclosed fee.
The former Tottenham Hotspur man, who turned 27 on Saturday, has signed a three-year contract with the ambitious Meadow Lane club.
Jackson was Colchester's player of the season, despite their relegation from the Championship two seasons ago.
He made 20 top-flight appearances with Spurs and has had loan spells with Swindon, Watford, Coventry and Derby.
Jackson told the BBC: "They a club with a future. They're one of the most talked about clubs in the country. It's an exciting time."
