Notts County manager Ian McParland says he expects to be without midfielder Gavin Strachan for three-to-four weeks.
The 30-year-old injured his hamstring after scoring the winning goal in the 2-1 victory over Exeter.
McParland told BBC Radio Nottingham: "It's a blow because I think he was doing very well and I was delighted when he got the winner.
"It's soul destroying for Strach but he keeps going. He's as honest as the day is long and I feel for him."
Strachan had only been back in the side for six weeks after a previous hamstring injury.
"There's nothing worse for a footballer. For proper footballers, when they're injured they hate it and he fits into that category," McParland added.

But the Magpies boss is not likely to bring any new players in, believing that he has enough cover in midfield.
"I would like to think we could get by but we're always having a look."
